Albert R Slack - Funeral Director (MBIFD, FCA, FCCA) helped his father, Albert R Slack snr from the age of 16 although he later pursued a career as a practicing accountant. On the death of his father, he was committed to keeping the company in family ownership to take a more active role in the company. Albert retired from full time Accountancy practice in 1998 and has since then been commited to modernising the funeral business.
Robin Currie - Funeral Director (MBIFD, MBIE) since leaving school has dedicated himself to working in the funeral business. In 1975 Robin joined Albert R Slack and since 1977 has been the principal Funeral Director. His experience and knowledge is well respected within the funeral profession.
Charles Percival - Funeral Director (MBIFD) A local man who joined the company in 1996 after a successful military career in which he began as a bugler in the 3rd Battalion Light Infantry, then went on to serve all over the world. He maintains his interests with the army and enjoyed many years as the Drum Major with the Clan Urquart Pipe Band. Charles is enthusiastic and forward thinking whilst maintaining traditional ethics and standards and enjoys the challenges of future development.
Jonathan Slack - after leaving school completed a BEng degree in Production and materials engineering at Coventry and MBA Masters degree in Production engineering at Cranfield. He joined De Beers in 1994 and after a years familarisation with the business worked in a number of locations around the world constructing and managing diamond polishing factories. He left De Beers in 2009 to work with the family company.
From Left to right; Charles, Ian, James Jason and Robin are all in our full time employment. Between them they have worked for the company for over 75 years. All of our team have gained their qualifications with SAIF and BIFD / NAFD.
